Enter the Dragon

The work that I do is really about living a full and authentic life. The idea that something is art when it is placed on the wall has utterly transformed over the course of my studies into being what life is, all the time, everywhere. That realization is what goes into my life now as a developing information professional (which really translates into librarian). I believe that as a librarian and journalist I could come into my own about what life truly has to offer by listening and asking questions more than procuring statements and prescribed answers. That is incredibly freeing to write and to feel at my core. It unlocks a great deal of potential in me I feel and has what it takes to unleash creativity in myself whole-heartily.

Here is some of what I have learned so far from all of the wonderfully enlightened beings I have had the great fortune of coming into contact with over the last several years. The following is my own subjective interpretation of what I have learned from each of these people.

Ashley Turner: Be the fire that burns through all blocks and fears. Love yourself. Self care and beauty is a balm for the wounds of life. We each are getting in our own way in life. Get out of your own way.

Mingyur Rinpoche: Help the world by helping yourself. Awareness is the essence of meditation. Assets of meditation can be accessed any time, anywhere throughout the day.

May this wisdom benefit you in some small and humble way.
