Quantum Leaps

Hi Everyone.  I have not been blogging formally for a while and I feel like putting in an entry today and perhaps more often for the time being.  I have a really generative sense about me right now and I know that I am making quantum leaps in my art life.  I am gratefully working through my courses for grad school and have completed yet another semester.  Now I am on break and there is a surge of energy taking place where I am taking steps sand action to bring into fruition everything I have ever wanted to do.  I won’t go into that very long list here, but I just want to say that last night I started a podcast which was a long time coming and it was awesome.  It is called Art (Life) for now and is meant to be a place to talk about art.

I am gratefully exploring all kinds of themes in my work and discovering that I can be an artist and make what I am calling “series” which include not just different kinds of visual art but also writings and music.  I can do electronic music and piano music and pop music and books and digital imagery and conceptual pieces and they are all series of a sort.  I put all of me into them but they are not the whole story on their own though in a way they are but they can sound and look and read very differently from one another.  Such is the power of a series.  

I am heavily getting back into electronic music and discovering artists all the time now.  It is really cool.  I can never really play my older electronic music live anymore because I do not have that equipment any longer.  But I am thinking about doing a new project with electronics.  IDM and braindance music in particular are appealing to me.  That is the sensibility that informed my older project called FR∆TE.  Some of those records are available on Spotify and the like.
