Learn to Love Yourself, Dream and Do It Artfully
Important: Dear reader, this notice is to make sure that you understand that I am not a licensed physician, nutritionist or therapist. This information is generated from my own personal experience as a person, as an artist. Please see a licensed physician, nutritionist or therapist for any proper or official diagnosis, treatment or guidelines. Thank you. Be well!
I have learned many lessons from my mentors and my mentors are many. One of the biggest ones is dressing for success! That is huge. That goes such a long way. Dressing up for your dreams just as you would for a wonderful dinner out with a friend or a loved one is what it is all about. Be your own best friend.
Really learn to love yourself!
You must learn to treat it like you are going to church or a job interview or a wedding. Really feel the self-worth that gets tapped into when you believe you, yourself, are worth dressing up for, that your dream is worth the acknowledgment that dressing up includes. I learned this from a frequent inspiration of mine named Brainard Carey. Here is just one example of his work helping you to live a better life through an artistic pursuit. Brainard is for sure one of my mentors. Brainard teaches folks how to make it in the art world and dressing for success has been one of his many recommendations.
I started doing this in my own life and really began to reap the benefits of that practice right away. It is one of those things that you can do immediately that really wakes you up. I could feel a significant change within as I began to acknowledge my self-worth as it related to my clothing choices.
That connection between the inner and the outer was invaluable.
I began to really enjoy going to different events because I actually enjoyed dressing up because now it was for me. I was not dressing up to go play out someone else’s dream. I was directly tapping into my own. And that is where it all begins to change. I think of another mentor of mine named Ashley Turner here as well and her very important lesson of coming to love yourself. You have to learn to love yourself, truly, openly, honestly. Then the magic begins to happen. Ashley helps you to live a happier healthier life.
After all, nothing is more pleasing than getting into nice, clean, comfortable clothes that you perceive as stylish and professional and that helps you put your best foot forward. That is when it all really starts to click. Because now you are representing yourself! You are standing up for yourself! Do it for you! The rest will follow. We all have to learn to love ourselves first before we can truly love others.
